IntroductionWelcome to the Clearfield Knowledge Solutions transaction management system demonstration application website.
The aim of
this website, and the project that underlies it, is to provide an insight into the capabilities of the transaction management system (TMS)
and to look at some possible application concepts for which the TMS could be used.
The transaction management system (TMS) is a proprietary Java platform developed by Clearfield Knowledge Solutions Ltd.
It is designed to mediate transactions by receiving transaction information from a source, and forming these transactions into bills and invoices which can be tailored to suit a businesses present billing application.

The project consisted of developing three applications. The first was the Coffee Ordering Application. This consisted of a simple "small-ticket" application designed to show the TMS core transaction management capabilities (more about each of these applications can be found in the help section).
The second project was the Stock Trading Application. This is a more complicated application exhibiting the TMS capabilities of modeling complicated business logic. It also demonstrates another Clearfield technology, the use of AMBER to generate a rich user interface.
The third application was the Pin Board Application. This is an interesting application that uses the messaging capabilities of the TMS, and provides an insight into alternative uses of the TMS.
Each of these applications can be run from this website, though the pin board application will require a small installation.
