Sep 2003

The project is well in progress, as the semester is coming to finish, I need to speed up to finish the basic requirement of my project. I wanted to extend the project to allow data retrieval via Web Service. I will see if I have time to do this.

July 2003

In general, the project is in progress. Major milestones such as project research, design specifications, project requirements and the inventory management tool prototype are well on the way.

I will be focused on the development of the Inventory Management Tool as well as the Warehouse Management Tool.  Major effort will be put on integration software for the server in order to accommodate potential problems arises from increasing database complexity.

Potential extensions to the project including voice recognition, multiple product selection, bar code reader for higher input flexibilities, and real-time synchronization to the server will be considered.  However, it highly depends on the time available and the change in functional requirements, as unexpected problems arises, the project plan may be subject to change accordingly.

Apr 2003

The project is at its initial state, everything is quite new to me, and I need to adapt the new technology used for my project.
