 Coffee Purchasing Application

The Coffee Purchasing application mainly consists of Html pages, Java Servlets, JSPs (Java Server Pages), Java Beans and manager classes.

bullet JSP Pages: Handle dynamic content and control page forwarding.
bullet Java Beans: Perform data validation.
bullet Data Manager classes: Provide data management functions to the Java Servlets.
bullet XML Messaging: For communicating with TMS.

 Stocks and Commodities Trading Platform

The Stocks and Commodities application mainly consists of Html pages, Java Applet, and XML messaging.

bullet Html Pages: Host the main application - an applet.
bullet Java Applet: To be developed using Amber (another Clearfield product), which is a package that assists in the development of advanced User Interface features.
bullet XML Messaging: For communicating with TMS.

 Pinboard Messaging Application

The Pinboard Messaging application mainly consists of  a Java Application, and XML messaging.

bullet Java Application: To be developed using javax.swing.
bullet XML Messaging: For communicating with TMS.

Conclusions

The project has had a lot of success in terms of business benefits. Starbucks has showed an active interest in the Coffee Purchasing Application. A UK firm is reportedly interested in the Stock Trading Platform. As for the Pinboard Notification application, the general opinion is that Microsoft Outlook and similar Microsoft products provide the same functions, so why use Pinboard? However, news is not all that bad for Clearfield. Clearfield is planning to market Pinboard Notification application as an added extra to the other application(s).

Summarising, it can be said that the TMS Marketing Project has achieved the 3 aims outlined earlier. We have successfully researched TMS, developed the 3 applications by working through the full software development lifecycle, and have stimulated a market interest in the Clearfield technologies, namely TMS and Amber.
