Quizzes are run online through Cecil. Each of the Cecil MC quizzes will be open from 9am on the quiz date (Friday) to the midnight of the following Monday. Each quiz has 15 randomly selected questions and contributes 1.5% to the final. You have 30 minutes to complete each quiz, and may make up to three attempts at each quiz, with your best mark being counted.
You MUST sit each quiz during the time period and you MAY use any computer in any lab or at home as long as there is a network connection (no slower than 64K) to the Cecil website.

- MC quiz 1 (1.5%): from Friday, Jan 06, 9:00am to Monday, Jan 09, 11:59pm
- MC quiz 2 (1.5%): from Friday, Jan 13, 9:00am to Monday, Jan 16, 11:59pm
- MC quiz 3 (1.5%): from Friday, Jan 27, 9:00am to Tuesday, Jan 31, 11:59pm
- MC quiz 4 (2.5%): from Friday, Feb 03, 9:00am to Tuesday, Feb 07, 11:59pm
Cecil Quiz instructions:
- To login to Cecil 7.0 :
- Open http://cecil.auckland.ac.nz/login.aspx from Internet Explorer
- Click on the LOGIN icon and enter in your NetID and NetPassword.
- To start your Cecil Multiple-choice test:
- Click on the Current courses from the navigation pane on the left of the screen.
- Click on the course from the navigation pane.
- Click on the Activities & Marks function for the course. You will see the list of all the activity type for the course and the respective weightings.
- Double-click on the Assignment from the Activity Type.
- Double-click on the current multiple-choice to open it.
- Click on the Start Assessment button to start.
All assignments will be submitted and returned electronically, unless your lecturer told you otherwise, electronic submission is done through the Web Dropbox.
Although you are welcome to verbally discuss assignment problems with your friends, you must develop the code for your assignments on your own - it is not acceptable to submit code or parts of a program written by someone else claiming it was your work. Please carefully read the Academic honesty
