Computer Networks


The Networks group has research interests in design, modeling, and performance evaluation of distributed systems and communication protocols at all layers. Research techniques employed include analytical investigations, experimental studies, and simulation approaches. The group has special expertise in Internet measurement, satellite communication and wireless networking. Current research encompasses network traffic characterization, workload characterization of systems, Internet applications, wireless networks, World Wide Web, satellite networks, network coding, network security, content and information delivery systems, popularity dynamics, and sustainable networks.
