Because we are new to IIS server, some time was invested to learn about IIS server.
In order to use IIS server to handle HTTP request, a .ashx file was implemented as a handler on local IIS site. It is the easiest way to implement a handler.
The prototype was developed on my home pc. When it's done we installed on two machines in AARN but suddenly it crushed. Because of the database is Pervasive but not SQL, we had to download a Pervasive data provider. After that it still couldn't work and the installation of Pervasive data provider somehow damaged .net Framework. It took us don't know how many hours to figure out. After reinstalled .net Framework the program worked locally.
The next attempt was to have the prototype work on two different machines. This time a lot of permission issues came out and we had to reinstall IIS, reconfigure, etc.
It took two whole days to get the developed prototype installed and running in AARN.
