| What is asTTle? asTTle stands for Assessment Tools for Teaching and Learning (He Pūnaha Aromatawai mō te Whakaako me te Ako). It is an educational resource for assessing literacy and numeracy (in both English and Māori) developed for the Ministry of Education by the University of Auckland. The asTTle project has delivered four versions of its software to the Ministry of Education since 2000. This software permits teachers to custom create and analyse assessments of reading, writing, and mathematics to students in Years 4 to 12 of the compulsory school sector. The asTTle project is the winner of Computerworld Excellence Award 2003 for Use of IT in Education, and was Highly Commended for BearingPoint Innovation Awards 2004 for Public Service & Innovation in Technology For more information, please visit asTTle home page.
