Company Profile

Modern Technology NZ Limited is a computer system manufacturer producing Compucon branded servers and workstations. The company has achieved ISO-9002 quality management standard since 1995. It is based in Albany. For the last couple of years, the company has started developing high-tech solutions to complement the range of system hardware. In 2001, the company worked in partnership with an Internet Service Provider under a new company name Computers New Zealand (CNZ) to offer a Linux based firewall and mail server. Starting in 2002, the company works with a software developer on an integrated business application database also under the CNZ umbrella. Owing to the reputation of the company as the only engineering-based computer company in New Zealand, many IT or PC service providers are looking at CNZ as the source of knowledge and the vehicle for technology development.

TN Chan (Project Supervisor)

TN Chan, the general Manager of the company will personally supervise the team as the Industrial Partner. TN has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, is currently an MIEE and a Chartered Electrical Engineer as registered in London, an MIPENZ and a Registered Professional Engineer in New Zealand (Reg. Number is 8925). TN worked for ECNZ and DesignPower in Wellington prior to founding Modern Technology, and was the design manager for Ohaaki Power Station and Wairakei Power Station supervisory control project in 1990.
