S. Manoharan
Department of Computer Science
University of Auckland

I have a BTech (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

I worked in the Department of Computer Science, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and at the now-defunct Advanced Computer Research Institute in Lyon, France, before coming to bonnie New Zealand. Oui, il y a un long temps, j'ai parlé Français, mais jamais très couramment.

My research interests include Performance modelling and simulation of parallel systems, High-performance computer architectures, Mobile and Internet architecture and applications, and Parallel and distributed computing. You can browse through some of my publications, if you are interested.

I am involved in the following courses:

You also can browse through some of my student projects. If you are interested in doing a project with me, and have an average GPA of A- or better in the Computer Science courses you have so far taken, drop me an email with a list of courses you have done and the grades you obtained in them.

I am the coordinator for the BTech programme in Information Technology. You are welcome to consult the FAQ on the programme, and if you have any questions, drop me a mail at btechIT@auckland.ac.nz.
