Ted Han, Summer Research Scholarship, 2007-2008

Improving a Software Corpus

Context

This is a "summer project", that provides the opportunity for academically able undergraduate students to work on a research project over the (southern hemisphere) summer under the supervision of a member of the academic staff. It is intended as an early introduction to research and the research environment for students considering undertaking an ME or PhD.

Project Description

This project took place during the summer between November 2007 and February 2007 at the University of Auckland. The goal of the project was to improve the quality of the Qualitas Corpus, in particular to develop processes and tools to support depositing applications in the corpus, and preparing the corpus for external distribution. The first externally distributed release of the Qualitas Corpus occurred in mid January 2008.
