Research Background
I began my first research in an institute on Digital Signal Processing Circuit Design for ONAR (sound navigation and ranging) systems, imitating a underwater target with a Doppler shift echo capability. I have worked as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Front-end Design Engineer on Wireless Baseband Processing based on WCDMA Protocol in Huawei. I have also engaged in ASIC for Power Line Communication. In those projects, Viterbi decoder, Reed-Solomon decoder and the others modules were designed and validated by me on FPGAs. Apart from those, I used to work on PCI-Express Transaction Layer Application. Specially, I improved previous projects by introducing SR-IOV (Single Root IO Virtualization) so as to accelerate the PCI-Express performance in virtual machines.

Current Research
A PhD thesis about the union of areas of computer science fields: Airtificial Intelligence (Neural Networks), Digital Design (FPGAs) and Programming Languages (Haskell). I want to develop from its inception to a minimal viable product a Generative Convolutional Neural Network that is capable of detecting and predicting movements in financial market, running on a FPGA as its hardware architecture with Haskell/ClaSH as its development language.
With this project, it will be established a link between computer science with an application to a real world problem in Finance (Price Market Prediction). Current publications dearth a full link between these areas of knowledge, generally two pieces are exposed, therefore this project could spark an exciting topic of research, where functional programming languages are used to develop from ground up a whole system that is easy to simulate and fast in its execution, using FPGA as its acceleration engine.
