Less Brief

I’m interested in stereo computer vision, techniques for live video streaming/compression, distributed systems and computer security/cryptography. My preferred development platform is Microsoft’s .NET but I can survive with Java or standard ANSI C. I’m a right hand batsman with all the shots though it never gets me anywhere as my average suggests. Arguably, my best batting asset is knowing what not to play, which James Harper can testify. I would call myself a former semi professional guitar player, as I gave it a rest to pursue my academic career in computer science. These days I play for fun though I can never give music the time it deserves. I predominantly used Fender Stratocasters, but I am warming to the likes of something different - perhaps a Gibson or Earnie Ball.
