Robotics and real-time control :
SEMINAR TOPICS


The list below gives titles and references for papers which suggest interesting topics for seminars. Alternatively, if you have special knowledge of some relevant area, or would particularly like to concentrate on a specific area which catches your interest, then it may be possible to negotiate a different topic specially for you. The topic must be relevant to computer control without unduly stretching definitions ( the dynamics of aeroplane wings would not be satisfactory, even though some aeroplane wings are controlled by computers ), and it must give reasonable scope for advanced treatment.

During the time when you are expected to choose a seminar, there should be a folder in the 773 laboratory containing a copy of every one of these papers. You can browse through these for a while, but please don't take them away - other people might want to look too. Let me know ( preferably by e-mail ) your choice, and we'll resolve any clashes. You can look at the choices so far if you wish. Once the seminar topics are allocated, you can take away the copy of your paper from the folder.
