On fixed days, so called checkpoints, the artifacts are reviewed by the team leader. A plenum is a good idea. In this plenum the results have to be presented briefly, compared and discussed. We use the term checkpoint instead of milestone. A milestone defines a targeted result. A checkpoint is a softer control mechanism. It just fixes a day for collective reflection where problems can be explored.
