director: Dr. Ian Watson
In addition to running ai-cbr, I'm a Senior Lecturer at the
University of Auckland. Obviously my prime research interest is CBR but I try to keep
involved with AI in general, and have a specific interest of applying AI to
web applications. Outside of work I enjoy fly fishing and exploring
the beautiful scenery of New Zealand. |

I'm rather pleased Microsoft has named a font after me -- but since I don't get any
royalties from them, I'm not overly excited. I attended Cooper Union, where I majored in
electrical engineering. I left university in my third year to tour as lead singer with the
metal band "Darkened Souls." After 18 months on the road, I left the band and
decided to move back home to Canandaigua, New York, where my mother owns a small vineyard,
to pursue a career as a master vintner. When I'm not working online or in wine I like to
hunt, shoot craps and hang out in clubs. |

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam, but was brought to the US when still a baby. I went to
college at UCLA and spent a postgrad year in Paris. I tried modeling and was in
an ad for
Calvin Klein, then settled down and took a real job. I enjoy martial arts and
roller-blading and play the violin in a string quartet. |

research volunteer: Prabhakar Bhogaraju
I work as a Research Associate in the Ag. and Natural Resources Information Systems Lab of
the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech. I have a B.Sc in
Agriculture from Agricultural College, Baptala (AP, India), and a MS in Entomology from
Virginia Tech (1996). My current research interests include application of AI and
Information systems methodologies for decision support in agriculture. I
helped ai-cbr prepare a database of CBR references that can be
searched online.
Note: there are always
jobs to be done at ai-cbr. If you have some time and enjoy web work
just contact us and we can find you useful (unpaid) work.
