Author Instructions

Final paper submission for accepted papers

All accepted papers must satisfy the instructions described in isita08paper.pdf. Please read it carefully when you prepare the PDF file of your paper. Especially note that only IEEExplore-compatible PDF files (not exceeding six pages) are acceptable for final submission.

The LaTeX style file for final paper submission is isita2008.sty, and a sample of source file is isita08paper.tex, the source file of isita08paper.pdf.

If you wish to change the abstract, title, or author list on your paper, please contact Ulrich Speidel with the new version(s). Please do not forget to state your paper number - we have over 300 papers to handle and having the number helps a lot. If you are adding new authors to your final version, please also let us know their affiliation. If all existing authors are from the same institution, we will assume that additional authors are from the same institution unless you tell us otherwise.

The deadline of final paper submission is 23:59, Sept. 7, 2008, GMT.

Before submission, please confirm that your PDF file complies with the guidelines for PDF preparation for IEEExplore. This guarantees that your file will print anywhere. An IEEExplore-compatible PDF file can be generated at the IEEE PDF eXpress web site with Conference ID: isita08x. Refer to Section 3.2 of isita08paper.pdf for more details.

For Microsoft Word users, commercial products provided by Adobe can also create a PDF file from a Word file. The following sites offer a file conversion service from a Word file to a PDF file:

Please also ensure that the title and author details on the final paper are the same as recorded on the submission system. If you wish to change this information, please contact Ulrich Speidel (ulrich@cs.auckland.ac.nz).

Joint submission to other conferences is not permitted.

Other notes

All papers presented at ISITA2008 will appear on IEEExplore after the symposium. Before final paper submission, you must transfer the copyright of paper to the IEEE, and at least one of authors must complete the registration of ISITA2008, pay the conference registration fee, and present the paper in person at the symposium. Otherwise, your paper will not be accepted. The copyright transfer and registration can be performed electronically via the ISITA2008 web site from the "My Paper(s)" page which is visible under your author login.

IEEE copyright transfer hint: IEEE advises that some versions of Internet Explorer do not work correctly with their electronic copyright transfer site. Should you encounter an error message "The URL https://ecopyright.ieee.org/ECTT/IntroPage.jsp is not recognized by the IEEE ..." then please use a different browser such as, e.g., Mozilla Firefox.

When registering for the conference, only the corresponding author should register while being logged in with the author account. If you are the corresponding author and you were not logged in, it is also not a big problem - do not register again! Other authors registering for a paper should notb> register under the corresponding author's login, even if they are the only author to attend. As long as you are registered, we will ensure that you and your paper find together - promise!
