Dr Aniket Mahanti

Biography

Aniket Mahanti is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Auckland. He received his BSc (Honours) in computer science from the University of New Brunswick, Canada in 2004, and his MSc in computer science from the University of Calgary, Canada in 2006.

After working for about 2 years as a research associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, he joined the PhD program there. He completed his PhD in computer science from University of Calgary in summer 2012, and joined the University of Auckland.

 

Research | Current

Aniket's research interests are in the general area of computer networks and performance evaluation with an emphasis on Internet measurements. His current research focuses on improving big data velocity, characterizing mobile traffic, benchmarking mobile broadband performance, and utilizing smart meter energy data for empowering consumers.
