BackPocketDriver - a smart and safe driving study

Do you hold a restricted drivers licence? Do you have an Android smartphone? Do you want to be a safe driver?

If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place. We're looking for young drivers aged 16-24 to trial our new smartphone app – BackPocketDriver.

BackPocketDriver runs in the background, measuring your driving behaviour using your phone's sensors. It will then provide you with feedback on your driving performance, and offer helpful tips and goals to help you improve your skills. Eventually, we'd like to roll out BackPocketDriver to all young Kiwi drivers, but right now we need your feedback to help to us make the app even better.

If you'd like to help us out and earn yourself a $20 voucher, please read the participant information sheet below before signing up.
