Open Source Software World Challenge 2012

This annual competition is hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy of Korea. This competition is intended to promote open source software and carries a grand prize of US$8,000.

"Open Source Software World Challenge 2012" is the annual competition hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy of Korea. This competition is mainly intended to promote open source software and expand various exchanges among open source software developers all over the world.

It comes with a total prize pool of $16,000 and a free trip to Seoul , Korea.
International participants are allowed to submit any open source software project developed within one year, even if the project has received a prize from another competition. In addition, even projects over one year old will be accepted by our judging panel as well, if it has been significantly improved recently.

The criteria for judging all submissions include broad applicability and potential impact, novelty, technical depth, demo suitability, and other miscellaneous factors (e.g., maturity, popularity etc.). Student-led efforts are particularly encouraged

Registration deadline: 29 July 2012
Final submission deadline: 23 September 2010
