Computer Science

Seminars: COMPSCI 760 Semester 2, City Campus

This is the seminar grading schemne that will be used:

  • content (4)
  • critique (3)
  • presentation (2)
  • question handling (3)
  • attendance (3)
  • question asking (3)
  • webpage (2)

So you need to present the content well but also give a critique about what you think is good or bad about the paper.

You also get points for presentation...not looking at your feet or saying "uhm" alot.

You get points for answering questions from the class well.

There will be attendance taking during the seminar so you get points just for coming, but you also have to ask questions during other people's seminars if you want to get full points.

Hope this helps.

Seminar Webpages

Part of your seminar grade is based on the quality of the webpage you put up reviewing the paper you presented for your seminar. Here is the .html template to use for your seminar webpage. You will need to email us your updated seminar .html file to barley@cs.auckland.ac.nz the night before your seminar (so that we can put it up on the web before your seminar and people can print it out to take to class).
