Undergraduate Project in Computer Science

COMPSCI 380 SS T

Prerequisites: Departmental approval required.

Assessment: 100% assignments.

Organisation: You must arrange to work with some academic member of the department before enrolling for a project. Both supervisor and topic must be arranged with the Project Coordinator before enrolment will be accepted. Only students with excellent academic records will be allowed to take this course. Students should not take this course to the detriment of other mainstream Computer Science courses, and should also note that practical work may be very time consuming.

Description: The project consists of supervised independent research or development work on a topic related to Computer Science. A written report on the work done must be submitted in both hardcopy (to the supervisor) and softcopy (to the ADB). A short oral presentation of the topic is required.

Deadlines, other relevant policies: Students enrolled in COMPSCI 380 should read CompSci 380 Project Policy, and they should familiarise themselves with Department and University policies on cheating and computer usage.
