Intranet systems are becoming more and more essential in most business. It's used for everyday work in the company and is used for finding contact details of colleagues, viewing recent announcements, searching for company documents etc. Some parts of Opus's intranet user-interface is hard to use, and there are some crucial pieces of functionalities missing that could ease their data management. Because of the low usability in some areas, users are not maximising the use of the intranet. They are not performing what are meant to be simple tasks, such as maintaining their profiles.

The aim of the project is to help encourage these internal business practices by improving their intranet systems. This will be done by enhancing the GUI for better usability, and by adding new functionalities in order to enhance the system as a whole. The overall goal is to improve not only the intranet interface, but to redesign the system and add functionalties to help improve usability and end user experience.
