There is an important contract of AS2 for AARN

• Due in End of July

• A running prototype of AS2

• Integrate AS2 program with EDIS For Windows' pervasive database

• Use MS IIS server to handle HTTP request and response

• Illustrate the AS2 program on 2 different machines so that one can send and receive AS2 messages to another and vice versa.

Did a lot of research on MS IIS server about how it works, how to configure it, how to implement handlers etc.

The permission setting is quite confusing but fortunately there is a permission wizard to use.  It took me a while to find the permission wizard and before that I tried to configure the permissions myself and got into a big mess.

Found out the easiest way to implement an HTTP handler --- a .ashx file on the server.  The implementation did not take much time as it is almost the same as normal .net program but it took some time to figure out the usage of ashx.
