During 2005, EDIS began migrating the system to Microsoft .Net . The full application suite will include new versions of our run-time event manager EDIS events as well as our database and document mapping tools.

There are two fundamental schema formats that EDIS wishes to support: DTD and XML schema. Therefore, my aim is to build a XML mapping tool which is used to validate individual XML message segments.

The purpose of this validation is to ensure that the information is as correct as it can possibly be. Also it is easy for users to retrieve and store each message segements.
