April |
- This was the first month of the project
so it was necessary
for us to familiarize ourselves within our working
environment as well as performing the initial phases of the
SDLC, which are requirements gathering, risk analysis, and
also the creation of required documents such as project
schedules.

May
|

This was a busy month, with the major
deliverable being the Specification documentation and
Specifications presentation to the university.

The main activity in our project schedule
during May was the research, trial and testing of the
Content Management Systems that were selected in April. We
were able to complete research on all packages, with some
vendors less than forthcoming with related features
information. Trial and testing began at the end of the
month.

June
|
- We had first semester
exams during this month so that kept us occupied most of the
time. But before and after exams we trialed and
tested some of the potential Content Management Systems.

July
|
- Finished our
evaluations of the potential Content Management Systems and made
a presentation to our Project Sponsor of our findings and final
choice. Our recommendation was well received.
|
- After completing the
CMS recommendation phase, we began our development of the new
website. This was a tedious task as all the existing pages had
to be ported across to the new platform page-by-page.

August |
- Continued development phase and move on to
begin creating the technical
and user documentation.
