Pinboard Installation Guide 

This document describes the installation of the Pinboard Application :

(1) If you are using the application for the first time ,Double-click the Pinboard.bat reciding in the Pinboard directory.
This will copy the required  files on to your system folder and run the executable jar file for the application.

(2) You would only need to run Pinboard.jar if u have ran the Pinboard.bat atleast once before.


Post-installation checklist:

(1)Make sure that the  path variable is set to the jdk bin directory.

(2)Trayicon12.dll should go in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM or SYSTEM32 depending on the OS Pinboard application is run on.

(3)Also tms.properties file should be in C:\config\application\

(4)Configuration.txt has be conigured to work with your setup of the application read technical Documentation for more dsetails.

(5)Double-click the Pinboard.jar file to run the application.Or you may have to run the Pinboard.bat prior to that.





This application was tested on platform: 
 MS Windows  2K
 Sun's J2EE 1.4 
 Sun's JDK/JRE 1.1.8

The Pinboard Application has been designed to allow users to post messages and annou ncements and check availability of the other users. From an operational point of view it is a suitable in a intranet enviornment in which  staff members can register themselves with the Transaction Management System running anywhere on the network  The primary administrative interface to the system is the mySQL Application database.The application is kept running in the system trayicon and only one instance should exists per machine.
