ABOUT

The SCI'2003 will be held in Orlando, Florida (USA), from July 27-30 2003 at the Sheraton World Resort. The purpose of the conference is to promote discussion and interaction between researchers and practitioners focused within disciplines as well as among different areas.

SCI has combined several Invited Sessions concerning on specific or general themes to create an environment where people could discuss and exchange ideas and experiences. One of this sessions will deal with MEDICAL IMAGING AND BIOMEDICAL VISUALIZATION. Its main goal is to bring together researchers and professionals from the academic, medical and industry who are working with Computer Graphics and Computer Vision techniques to create, visualize and interact with medical data. We also expect to provide a discussion with the international community about the new trends and open issues in medical imaging and the visualization of biomedical data.

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Invited Sessions with high quality papers might be selected for multiple author book publications. Two books have been published now as result of good invited sessions.
