How to apply for the masters programme
- Check to see if you meet the admission requirements.
- Apply for the MSc in Computer Science using Student Services Online.
- Find a staff member to supervise your thesis by looking through the listing of staff research interests.
- You should also investigate our postgraduate research topics.
- Inform the department's MSc coordinator of your application, Email: MScCoordinator@cs.auckland.ac.nz
- The MSc coordinator will approve your application once you have filled in an Approval for Masters Thesis Form (164KB PDF)
- Your application on Student Services Online must be approved by the MSc Coordinator and by the Faculty of Science. Then you will receive an offer of place on the masters programme. This step could take up to one week.
- Accept your offer on Student Services Online and enrol yourself in COMPSCI 796A and 796B (full-time) or COMSPCI 799A and 799B (part-time).
- Within 6 weeks of enrolment, you should hand the MSc coordinator a completed Thesis Proposal Form (61KB PDF).
- At the end of first semester of study (and also at the end of the second and third semester of study, for part-time students), you should submit a signed Thesis Progress Report Form (151KB PDF).
