Start Up Company: Allele
Allele creates simple and innovative information solutions for the evolving mobile/social web.
We're working on a very exciting project that's going to revolutionise the way people explore their social networks. Introducing Exploron, an app that Identifies and processes knowledge from social media communications, empowering users to better discover and absorb content that matters to them in an exciting new way. At Allele, we do things bigger and better, with more creativity and more imagination than any other social enrichment start-up. Now we're searching for one very talented engineer to work on the Exploron project. This engineer will be injecting their own ideas and inspiration into establishing the feeds and sources from social networks, forming the information processing engine with new and open source technologies and experimenting with knowledge representation in creating the frontend app.
This engineer will have the option to receive valuable stock options in Allele and Exploron as work is completed OR following the induction of the Engineer to Allele's team, funding can be sought from external groups or government grant to fuel the development.
We're looking for a student or graduate sporting skills and knowledge in the latest data/information analysis, summary and manipulation technologies.
Anyone and everyone who has experimented in this area of computer science, or works with a similar skillset and is keen to work with languages and processes of the future web is welcome to apply. Here's what's involved:
- Content Management (CMS).
- Semantic analysis and automatic summarization.
- Dynamic classification.
- Bayesian Networks, Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machines.
- Utilisation and aggregation of data from Social Networks and similar feeds.
- Machine Learning
- Knowledge/Data Representation
- App Coding Expertise also preferred but not vital.

Start Up Company: MDL and Partners Software Limited
MDL and partners software ltd is a start-up company that was founded by the group of talented Auckland University students and graduates with the goal of pursuing various projects in the web services and social media sectors with the intention of potentially creating a startup from those projects that were deemed commercially viable in the market.
E-Memorio is the codename for the current project that our company is currently undertaking. At this stage it is aimed at creating a global website at which people can create online memorials for their deceased or missing loved ones in collaboration with relatives, friends and colleagues from all over the world.
The project is 90% finished and will be ready for launch in few months. MDL and Partners Software Limited applied for MSI NZ funding and currently in negotiations with number of Investment Companies, which expressed interests in investing/buying our venture.
We are expanding our business and would like to recruit more talented Computer Science students, which have experience in both Front end and Back end web design.
Core technology that we use: The backend is written with both the C# and F# programming languages, running on .NET 4.5 with ASP.NET MVC 4. It runs on Amazon Web Services and uses Dynamo DB.
The programming languages for the frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
The successful applicants will get company equity based on their input and bonuses after web site launch later this year.

The student has to be proficient in:

- handling cyber security
The student will be required to develop and manage a site with:
- 60 million + profiles
- e-commerce transactions
- huge traffic
