Web Browser Ink Annotation
Many documents are web-based, and we often want to communicate with friends and colleagues on the document content. Enabling ink annotation within a specifically designed webpage is quite simple -however saving and sharing those annotations posses difficulties such as where the annotation should be stored and how it will adapt to changes in the document layout. More difficult is annotation 'in the wild'. In this project we explored using Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 and a browser plug in for annotation. The annotations are saved onto a server from where they can be retrieved by the author or others. While we had some success and people really enjoy the user experience, there are still many technical difficulties to be solved with the layering of the browser.
