I am also a member of Secure Systems Group at the Department of Computer Science.

My PhD research is about "transparency" in software engineering. My supervisors are Professor Clark Thomborson and Associate Professor Ewan Tempero.

Research Interests

My current research interests are in software engineering, requirements engineering, security requirements engineering, and stakeholder communication.

Transparency in Software Development

I have been conducting a questionnaire for my PhD research to study what transparency means to the software industry.
More details about the questionnaire can be found here: Transparency in software development - Questionnaire
A summary of the findings will be available soon.

Experiment in Comparing Software Documents

This experiment investigats how effective different types of software documents are in presenting functional requirements to different type of stakeholders. This experiment involves the use of a questionnaire (either online or written), which takes approximately 1 hour to complete. A software document that describes the functionality of a software system is given to participants. In the questionnaire, participants are asked some questions about the given software document.

More details about the experiment can be found here: Experiment in Comparing Software Documents
A summary of the findings will be available after the completion of this project.
