Original papers are solicited in all areas of unconventional computation, especially in quantum computing, DNA-based computation, evolutionary algorithms and various proposals for computation that go beyond the Turing model. Authors are invited to submit papers (at most 12 pages) electronically. All submissions should be in PostScript or PDF format, printable in a standard Unix environment. LATEX source of final versions of accepted papers will be required.
Joint submissions to other conferences are not permitted. Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their work at the conference. The proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag, London, in the DMTCS Series, and will be made available during the conference.

The deadline for submissions has now passed. If you submitted a paper to UMC2K,you should have been notified about the outcome of the refereeing process around September 15, 2000. Camera-ready LaTeX source files of accepted papers will then be required by October 1, 2000.
