Applications Programming 2009

Course Information

This course is a programming course that continues on from COMPSCI101 in developing practical programming skills, but with a focus on using component-based approaches and object-oriented programming. The course offers an introduction to graphical user interfaces, 3-tier architectures, and techniques for integrating applications with databases and the web/Internet.

By the end of the course students who succeed will be competent C# Programmers.


Time and Venue for Lectures

  • Mon, 4pm-5pm at MLT1
  • Wed 4-6pm at MLT1

Test Wednesday the 22nd of April

Admission time: 4:15pm.

The test is 90 minutes long and worth 20% of your total grade.

Please attend the correct room according to your Surname/Family name.

  • A - Low : MLT1 (our regular lecture theatre)
  • Lu - Z : LargeChem
The material is covered by the lectures up until and including "Lecture 13 - (handout 15) Windows Forms" (see the lectures page)

The test consists of reading and writing C# code and short answer questions.
